MS HEATING AND PLUMBING is seeking a skilled self-employed bathroom fitter to join us on a full-time basis, working across domestic properties in Birmingham and Solihull. You will be carrying out full bathroom installations and refits, with an eye for detail and a clean, professional finish that our customers trust us to deliver.

We are a Which? Trusted Trader and Age UK Birmingham approved business with over 29 years of experience, so quality and care are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you are looking to complement existing work or step into a steady local role, this is a great opportunity with a team that values doing the job right.

What we are looking for
  • Proven hands-on experience fitting full bathroom suites
  • Competent with tiling, flooring, and associated finishing work

MS HEATING AND PLUMBING is looking for an experienced, reliable self-employed plumber to join our team serving Birmingham, Solihull and the wider Midlands. You will be working across a range of domestic plumbing jobs, from repairs and leaks to full bathroom installations and pipework upgrades, always delivering the high standard our customers expect.

We are a well-established local business with nearly 30 years behind us and a strong reputation built on repeat customers and recommendations. If you take pride in your work, communicate well with customers and want to be part of a team that does things properly, we would love to hear from you.

What we are looking for
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing, or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Proven experience in domestic plumbing work
  • Solid knowledge of current water regulations and building standards

What roles are you currently hiring for?

We’re currently looking for an experienced plumber and a bathroom fitter. We also welcome speculative applications from Gas Safe registered heating engineers and other qualified tradespeople who think they’d be a good fit for the team.

Do I need to be Gas Safe registered to apply?

For heating and boiler-related roles, yes. Gas Safe registration is a legal requirement for gas work and all our heating engineers must hold it. For plumbing and bathroom fitting roles, Gas Safe registration isn’t required but relevant qualifications and experience are essential.

Is the work full time or part time?

We have both full time and part time roles available depending on the position. The experienced plumber role is full time and the bathroom fitter role is currently part time. Details are listed on each vacancy above.

What areas will I be working in?

All our work is based in Birmingham, Solihull and the surrounding Midlands area. We don’t send our team on long distance jobs. You’ll be working locally, which means less time travelling and more time doing the work you’re good at.

Do I need my own van?

Yes, we ask that applicants have their own van. This is one of the questions on our application form. If you have any questions about this requirement before applying, just give us a call and we’ll have a chat.

What qualifications do I need?

This depends on the role. For heating work, Gas Safe registration is essential. For plumbing, relevant trade qualifications and proven experience are required. For bathroom fitting, we’re looking for a strong track record of quality installation work. Full details are listed on each vacancy.
